Abstract
Acoustic Ecology Institute is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA and the work of one person, founder Jim Cummings. The Acoustic Ecology Institute was founded in 2003 as a spin-off of EarthEar.com, a commercial soundscape art catalog. The site is now largely archival, dating from 2004-2009. Most of the introductory material remains relevant, though some external links have aged.
