Abstract

College professors Sam and Jenny Ashlar retire to a once bucolic village where they’re besieged by their neighbors’ noisy lawn-care crews, dirt-bikes, retro rap music, and pool partying. The Ashlars respond by sculpting mole totems from a massive dead tree with a wake-the-dead chainsaw--unleashing a rampaging Noise War, which they win with courage and ingenuity.
