Abstract
Join us in telling New Zealand stories in sound.
What sounds and soundscapes resonate with you? What stories do these sounds tell? Aotearoa Stories in Sound is compiling sounds from the natural world and the built environment as well as soundscapes of cultural significance. The project will collect and archive sounds for public use and share stories about those sounds.
Starting with sounds or soundscapes in Otago and Southland, this project will reach local, national and international audiences. We invite people to send recordings or suggestions of sounds that are meaningful to them.
