Myös Yhdysvalloissa koronaviruksen pelko on tyhjentänyt kokonaisia katuja. Ihmisvilinä on kadonnut, ja sen mukana ihmisten tuottama melu. Tutkijoiden mukaan sen tilan ääniympäristössämme ovat nyt vallanneet takaisin linnut.
Tutkimusten mukaan linnut reagoivat ihmisten tuottamaan meluun hiljentämällä omaa lauluaan.
